Following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, Bruce Beckett is retiring from coaching duties after five years with Panmure.
A well-respected coach in the area, Bruce joined the club in 2021 as backs coach alongside Clinton Davey, before going on to take charge as Head Coach. Under Bruce, the team enjoyed a very successful period between 2022 and 2024 — the 2023 Midlands Bowl win, followed by a National Bowl appearance in the shadows of Murrayfield, were big highlights of the last few years.
President Doug Bett said: "We thank Bruce for all his hard work over the past five years at Panmure. There have certainly been highs and lows over the past few seasons, but his enthusiasm for the club and team was always huge. I look forward to welcoming Bruce to Forthill anytime for a beer or two."
Although the last couple of seasons have been tough on the pitch, Bruce's commitment to improving players as individuals and as a team never wavered. He leaves the club with the greatest thanks from all who played under him and from all members and supporters at Panmure. We look forward to seeing him on the touchline with a drink in hand, rather than his notepad recording how many penalties we've conceded!
Thank you, Bruce!
