At an extremely windy Forthill on Saturday we finally got the monkey off our back with a well-earned 27-17 victory over Falkirk 2nd XV. Playing with the wind in the first half we got off to the perfect start racing to a 10-0 lead after 20 minutes. Falkirk though grew into the game and probably deserved their 10-12 halftime lead.

After a shaky first 10 minutes of the 2nd half, we got to grips with the conditions and started to play some fine ball in hand rugby and dominated the next 20 minutes getting ourselves into a 27 -12 lead with two extremely well worked tries and another which had a shade of doubt about a knock on. The last period of the game saw Falkirk come back at us and throw everything they had into getting back into the game but we defended bravely holding them out until they crossed over with the last play of the game.

This Saturday we face Grangemouth at Forthill which coincides with Sponsors Day, so we should have a good support up to watch. We know it will be a tough game, but perhaps with the confidence that a win brings we can back up last Saturdays result with another win.
